We were born and raised in Gozo, and we transformed Ta’ Matmura Farmhouse into a peaceful retreat where guests can experience the charm of traditional Gozitan living. We would like to welcome you to stay with us.
Our 300-year-old Gozitan farmhouse is located in the hamlet of Birbuba, just outside the village of Għarb in western Gozo. It is surrounded by peaceful countryside and close to spectacular views, making it a perfect base for walking, cycling, photography, snorkelling and scuba diving.
What We Offer
We offer comfortable rooms, each with its own entrance and private en-suite facilities. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating areas with tables, chairs, umbrellas and, of course, the pool.
We work with local providers who offer a variety of outdoor adventures and ways to experience Gozo. Whether you are interested in walking, cycling, diving, kayaking, horse riding or scenic tours, we will be happy to recommend activities and places to visit. If there is something special you would like to do or see in Gozo, we can help organise it whilst providing a relaxing environment for you after your day out by the pool, with free Wi-Fi and use of the dining room as a workshop/theory/appraisal area and to view, download and discuss your day’s events. A large 60-inch tv is also at your disposal. Close by restaurants could complement your evenings and we can also arrange transfers to anywhere including from the airport/ferry and vehicle hire for the duration of your stay. Outdoor Adventures
We work with local organisations who offer a variety of opportunities for outdoor adventures, options for viewing the island and getting the best out of your stay on the beautiful island of Gozo. Please ask us, we are always ready to recommend activities and places to visit. If there is anything you like to do or see in Gozo we are able to organise it.
We also have contacts with local diving centres and can offer advice on dive sites, including boat and RIB trips to the more inaccessible locations.
